History
The Open Table Foundation was launched in response to the growing food access challenges across the Tristate area. The Foundation is inspired by the work of Chef Beatrice Ajaero of Nneji, Astoria's first and only West African restaurant, and her mother, Henrietta Ajaero, Executive Chef at Nneji. To date, Nneji has provided over 200k of food access meals across New York City, Western New York, and Newark, New Jersey. Â
